Ever see a bad accident on the news or see a family who lost everything to a fire and wondered

 what you could do to help.  West Buncombe Fire Department is a great place for you to do just

that.  We provided several different services to the community such as Fire Suppression, Medical Care,

and Fire Prevention and Education Training.  West Buncombe Fire Department is a combination

department. Our membership consist of both  paid and volunteer firefighters.  Without the help of

volunteers we would not be able to properly serve and protect our community.

The application process:

* We accept applications for both cadet and active firefighters.

* Our cadet program is for members who are between the ages of 16 &17

* Once an application has been submitted it will be reviewed by the membership committee and you will be notified and

    instructed on the next steps in your process.
